tnbutterfly chapter 1 . 8/11/2010 I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The comraderie is great. |
Avelynn Tame chapter 1 . 5/26/2010 This is the second time I've read this story - I love it so much! The Gibbs/Abby/Tony dynamic is one I really love - both on the show (although we hardly ever get to see it there; the writers are really missing a trick with that one - they could do so much with it), and in fanfiction. I'm a big fan of Gibbs/Abby and Tony/Abby, both platonically and romantically, but these three characters (plus Ducky) have the longest-established relationships, so I love seeing them interact together. This story was great to read. I was particularly impressed that it was Gibbs who was injured and had to be carried by Tony and Abby. There are a lot of injured-Abby/Abby-in-peril stories out there (which, don't get me wrong, I really love), and it was nice to see Abby as someone in a (slightly) stronger position. I was particularly curious about something Abby said as they were making their way through the woods. She said that she was used to firing guns - Tony pointed out that being in the ballistics lab is one thing, but being out in the field and having someone firing back at you is another, and Abby replied that she had experience of that as well. Tony (and Gibbs) said that they wanted to hear that story - but it was never revealed! I have to know - is this something you might come back to in another story? I absolutely love Abby as a character, but I love her even more in fanfiction when she is given hidden depths. The show has given us so little information about her past. Much as I would love to believe that she is, in fact, a former secret agent, I doubt that this will ever be revealed to be the case! However, this juicy little detail you have thrown into this story is just as good! If you weren't planning to come back to it, is there any chance you could tell me what you imagined the background to that story was? Anyway, so, this is becoming a rambling review. In summary: I really enjoyed reading this fic (twice) - great characterisations of Gibbs, Tony and Abby, plus a dramatic (yet fun) storyline which allowed bonding between three people who really ought to get more time together in scenes on the show. Adding to favourites! |

Art Is The Weapon chapter 1 . 2/13/2010 Aw, what a cool story! The word association game saves lives! xD And I loved Tony and Abby's discussion while carrying Gibbs; "He'll be fine, Abby. He's strong." "Like an ox," "Like a bear," "Like a fox," "Like a lion," "Like a mule," "Well, he's as stubborn as one, so I'll give you that." xD Good job! x Little Squirt |
