katbybee chapter 1 . 8/21/2016 "Carter, that's no fly doing the backstroke in my bouilliabaise!" See Andew. See Andrew Run. Run Andrew Run! Good Luck, Andrew... :O |
detectivejigsaw chapter 1 . 7/28/2016 Oh man, Carter's friends are going to KILL him! ...But it will be totally worth it. Not for Carter, but still. What a bunch of sissies, frightened of one old spider. Of course, this is from the point of view of someone not afraid of spiders, so I don't have much of a leg to stand on. This is hilarious. |
Winterfrost15 chapter 1 . 2/6/2016 I used to really hate spiders, but now am pretty much okay with them as long as they are outside. The big ones are still kind of creepy, though, LOL. I really loved this story, it was so funny! I'm surprised it didn't give me the wilies...well, except for the end. That idea was pretty terrifying. I read the two sequels after this one too, and really couldn't stop laughing. (Hochstetter getting bitten by the baby spiders and them crawling all over his body in konarciq's story was pretty nightmarish. He kinda had it coming to him, though...) All in all, fantastic job! :-) |
Aileil chapter 1 . 1/25/2015 Y'know, my elder cousin used to keep brown recluses in her basement. Whenever we'd play hide and go seek at her house I insisted the downstairs lights be turned on 'cause I was terrified of those little buggers. They mightn't kill you if you go to the doctor, but having your skin start sluffing off all 'round the bite is NOT fun. Thanks for the highly amusing mental picture of all the poor heroes running around the barracks trying to get rid of two hundred terrifying spiders. (It's a heck of a lot funnier if you don't actually have to be near the spiders). :) |
OrangeSunset1701 chapter 1 . 12/14/2014 Oh, those brave, fearless men, carrying out the most dangerous and insane missions possible, never hesitating to put their lives on the line, always ready to stare right into the face of danger(otherwise known as a Nazi )... And when a spider so much as twitches, they run like frightened school children. This had me rolling on the ground laughing for a good few minutes! Good one, mate! |
Kai-Alaric chapter 1 . 6/23/2013 I could not stop laughing while reading this. |
The Wild Wild Whovian chapter 1 . 6/23/2013 He he he! Oh, that was a good one! I was wondering where Carter was. I love the final paragraph! (By the way, I looked up drongo. The pic bears a slight resemblance to dear ol' Col Klink.) |
The Ginger Midget chapter 1 . 3/12/2013 Oh my gosh! This was wonderful! I love the ending, it's perfect! |
Cristy W-S chapter 1 . 2/14/2012 Aww, this was just brilliant! The one-liners were really flying, and I was laughing hysterically throughout, especially at Kinch's 'I think it was born angry.' LOL! And Carter - my goodness! Did they actually think *he* would kill it? Reminds me of a M*A*S*H episode where Radar saves a lamb from being the main course at a Greek celebration. :) But the truly marvellous bit was the last line...it actually gave me shivers! I'd hate to anywhere near the barracks in two weeks time. This is one to save in the files! Thanks so much for sharing it with us! |
Kirarakim chapter 1 . 3/2/2011 Oh dear this was quite hilarious but also equal to one of my worst nightmares. :D |
Snooky chapter 1 . 2/28/2011 laugh out loud funny! Congrats on the nomination. |
Marie1964 chapter 1 . 1/11/2011 Leave it to Carter to take interest in the spider. But the mental image provoked by the ending was rather terrifying. |
nomdeplume13 chapter 1 . 8/3/2010 Carter and his pets, gotta love it! |
Crystal Rose of Pollux chapter 1 . 4/19/2010 LOL, I loved this fic; it's absolutely hilarious. And I sympathize completely with LeBeau, Newkirk, and Kinch- trying to evict any invertebrate is a mammoth task, and spiders are the worst. And Carter... oh, gosh, this is classic Carter! Thanks for this priceless story! |
Sorkin's Gal Friday chapter 1 . 4/11/2010 Ahahaha! I was just imagining hundreds of spiders crawling through Barracks 2. I bet even Hogan wouldn't be able to stay calm! That is hilarious and disgusting. Well done! |
