Really enjoyed this series of kotor vignettes. :-)

Nice story. The way the later chapters referenced the earlier ones was cute, and I appreciated the story all the more for being able to show the relationship between Carth and Revan without heading into smut territory.

Posted 24 May 2014, at the Starwarsknights web site and the Lucasforums Coruscant Entertainment Center in my The Critic's Two Cents.

Some of the work I read is what I consider worthy of a professional. These are marked as Picks of the Week. While they are posted on Starwarsknights I am adding the best of the week where applicable.

KOTOR crew vignettes: How the crew deals with the problems they do have

Like usual, a story literally wants me to read further, and this is one of them. Thanks to the game mechanics you don't have a lot of time spent in situations where the characters are sleeping or otherwise occupied. So on the ship drawings you don't have bathrooms, showers, kitchens, etc, because people don't think of them unless they are logical,or as your critic is, sarcastic. I created a dungeon long ago, back when D&D was THE role playing game where I put a series of toilets scattered through it that led to a room you could fall into just to be a bit disgusting.

The author decided in this chapter to lean heavily of Carth's trust issues, Carth going to bed in armor, and in the bed that would assure she can't leave without his noticing, making their first night a serious pain in whatever part their armor will pinch.

Let's face it, if Carth had been this paranoid in real life, I would have fragged him after about a week.

Nineteen chapters, I might have to come back to this one...

A nice set of character based short stories. I enjoyed it, and thank you for writing.
Winifred Badami chapter 16 . 12/10/2010
This one has to be one of my favourites. Like Stone in focus said it hit me.
NicknameNoOne chapter 19 . 10/1/2010
Great story, though I'd really like to hear more Jolee/Carth/Canderous banter :).
LMSharp chapter 19 . 9/12/2010
One of the best stories I've read on here. And yes, I WOULD like to know about the slumber party. Keep writing, keep growing, never cease to learn.

God Bless,

This chapter hit me, probably more so than any of the other chapters. I even felt the "ouch" when amnesiac!Revan realized that it was her he didn't trust. I will definitely have to incorporate this scene into my head!canon...wish I'd thought of it myself! :D
LadyArin chapter 19 . 6/29/2010
On the whole, i liked it. Funny, with characters that despite their issues are still likable.

There are very few long ff's i'm reading now; this will be an exception. Feel honored. ;)
Lilan chapter 19 . 6/29/2010
Aww. Again, thanks for your Bastila. For most of the game she has, like, zero "people skills," so I'm really happy that you wrote her this way at the end of your story. Wonderful final chapter.

And yay, a Carth-and-Dustil story in the works? I almost wish you hadn't said it, because it's already set me off bouncing around hard in anticipation!
Lilan chapter 18 . 6/29/2010
I've always been a terrible sucker for rituals, and you've given me one in this chapter by describing Revan helping Carth with his armor. It sounds so solemn and so appropriate, almost prayer-like. Oh, and they both sound really, really mature. It's pretty clear that they've come a long way from that first sleeping-in-armor chapter...
Lilan chapter 17 . 6/29/2010
I know it's taken me an awful lot of time to review, but I'm back here now and intending to leave you some more comments.

This one has...a mood. Wistful, yet comfortable; I have always imagined the crew have a lot of moments like this during their quest, but of course it would be most special at this point. I had to chuckle at T4-M3's attitude, and the food poisoning part, and the parts with Carth were really moving...a good story, this one, just like the rest. Thank you!

I Love Bastilla. Shes quickly becoming my favourite KoTOR character.

Yeah, I went there ;)

This was such a cute scene, them both coming to terms with all that had happened. This is why I want more FRevanBastilla on the site, stuff like this.

It finished off so well too, with bastilla reaching the middle ground. At the start, she'd never dream of using the force in such a plebian way, but at the hieght of her dark-side-ness she'd never have lowered herself to something so 'immature'

Force pushing your best friend into the waves is definitely a sign of being in a good place :D

I'm glad this is still gonna get updated, because I love reading it

What Ithacas Mean chapter 19 . 6/27/2010
This is a seriously fabulous chapter. Well, I say that as one with a soft spot for Bastila-Revan friendship, but it feels right. Very right.
Mithostwen chapter 19 . 6/27/2010
Aww, hooray! This provides a wonderful sort of closure to the story. I love that you had them talk about so much more than just Bastila's fall, looking at the wider scope of all their falling and redeeming each other, what the future holds, and even the past. It's so logical that Bastila would have admired Revan as a child (despite her own fanatical adherence to the Code and Revan's total lack thereof, heehee) and I love what that backstory adds to this moment. Same goes for Bastila giving Revan back her original name. Very cool. I still say that's one of the things you do best-pulling more out of the story than is even there, but doing it so that it still seems right.

I'm beyond thrilled that this story isn't over yet, and I look forward to reading more. I'll definitely let you know if I have a request for you, but now that I've gone and started my own story, it's kind of a conflict of interests, since I want to save some ideas for myself... :-)
