Lovely. I loved Magnus's entrance, especially since you didn't only include Clary's perspective.

Be careful you don't start making Jace or Clary look bad in order to advance the plot though. I've seen a lot of fanfics go wrong because of character bashing.

I am a very lazy reviewer, but my conscience finally buggered me into giving both of you the comments you very much deserve.

Jace has reached the pinnacle of douchedom, but I don't think he's evil. Alec has always given Jace what Jace wants, and this I'm sure, to the blonde wonder, is just another thing. I think if Jace (with all his intimacy issues) was aware of the repercussions of their actions, he'd be a bit more hesitant.

Alec isn't made for what he's been doing. He's shy, introverted and he attaches a lot of meaning to things like his virginity. Alec has nothing to compare to Jace, so he feels guilty for wanting satisfaction. I hope Jace isn't going to be the experience Alec draws from, but who knows.

Jace and Alec are best friends. And when you sleep with your best friend, it hardly ends well. The relationship changes.

Aside from my pointless yammering, I think both of you have done a fantastic job with the characters. I know a lot of reviewers have said so before me, but they are very realistic in their portrayal.

The situation between Jace and Alec is completely plausible. It's intimate, what they're doing, and Jace knows it, so he tries to make it impersonal. So far, I'm fascinated with how the story is going, and I like the song you used in the intro. Very well suited.

I'm excited that Magnus was introduced into the story, and even though I know Alec is going to be very torn (loyalty to Jace and attraction to Magnus) I still look forward to it. Because I'm hoping, when all the drama ends, it will have been good for everyone (especially Alec's self esteem).

It's a wonderful creation and the wait just made it worth it. Well, after that long review, I'm off. I need to do a lot more reviewing.
