I just found you're story and I'm enjoying it, it would be a shame if you gave up on something that you love. I bet that you know the old saying that you can't please all the people all the time. There will always be someone out there who doesn't like what you're doing but as long as you do, I say don't give up. I think that you are still young. I'm over 50 and I can't do what you are doing and you will only get better as you keep writing. I'm betting that if you love writing and keep at it then one day you could be a top selling auther. It was wrong what your mother said. I bet she is just worried about you. I hope that you dont give up.

Um... No. You are a great writer and its not a waste of time. You find happiness in it and that's what matters. Telling people about my past seemed useless at the time because I was told more than once that it was but it really helped and writing seems to be your outlet. Some people need to sleep to process things and escape from the world for a little bit and other people do different things. You write and you are amazing at it don't let anyone tell you differently. And if you ever need someone to vent to just email me a . I will always listen no matter how bad its seems and I will always try to help you when I can.

Sorry, this is NOT funny, but I had to laugh when I read this comment...it made me think of the time several years ago, when I told my mother I was going to take HTML classes. I remember her comment like it was yesterday: "What GOOD is it!" she screamed when asking. Today, in 2015, her comment is just ridiculous...but websites were kind of a new thing...certainly wanting to DESIGN websites was nearly unheard of...that was 2001. Don't worry about it...they don't understand or believe in what they do not know about...do what your heart tells you to do! *hugs*
