This was really sweet, I liked the way you fit around the actual story. I liked that everyone was accepting, no drama, that was cool.

This is just the sweet sort of story that squeezes your chest and makes your eyes water a little.

I wished Simon was sly in the show; I feel it would have gone like this if he had been.

Beautiful ending. A few lines really spoke to me.

"Stop grinning like an idiot and focus," Petaline shrieks at him.

- I could imagine this whole scene perfectly.

Inara knows she will never meet anyone else just like Malcolm Reynolds… Nandi presses a soft kiss to Inara's palm, and the Companion smiles naturally, not faking anything.

But she is just as sure that she will never meet anyone like her Nandi.

- Beautiful and poignant, bittersweet and so hopeful. The ending confirmed this. I'd like to imagine that Inara and Nandi were quite happy running their whorehouse.

It as far sweeter than any caress Mal could recall, and all memories of previous lovers fled in the reality of Simon's arms.

so terrifyingly satisfying. mal and simon, and kaylee and river, and even inara and nandi - glad they all have happy endings. i would love to see a future!fic or possibly oneshots.
