very good and bittersweet

This was well written; I was a bit confused at first (forgot to register the fact that this was an AU) but it made sense after a while. It was beautiful and my heart went out to Tsuna and Gokudera; that trio was never meant to be apart. Great work!

I cant believe how you rocked my khr fannon mind with just one oneshot. You are amazing.
My God, it's so hard to imagine Yamamoto on the other side... And Varia as Tsuna's guardian... it is so weird, and yet you managed it so well.

Does this mean that Yamamoto's attack were him trying to die? He wanted to die so he attacked the enemy but Tsuna was not this kind of guy... Damn.

The only thing I disliked in this fic is that you made Gokudera kind of weak. He does have more ability than what was depicted here, but other than that it was an awesome reading. Thanks for posting it!

The characterization, the ANGST, the absolutely LOVELY way you pieced everything together, and made it so god damn believable was so ... urgh. You have an amazing talent for writing. ;_;

This breaks my heart. And it's ironic that here Gokudera is the one who keeps trying to get through to Yamamoto (while in KHR Yamamoto is always the one trying to get through to Gokudera).

Agh this is awesome! I never understand why fic like this doesn't have a lot of reviews, but this totally deserves a hundred reviews or more.

The characterization for everyone was perfect despite the AU setting. It's something that is totally unexpected to me at this point.

And Yamamoto... he acted so PERFECTLY. Tragic ending and while I was hopeful the whole time I think this is the right way to end it. It always frustrated me how easily Yamamoto was willing to throw his life away in the beginning of the manga and it's something that isn't played with all that often. His single-mindedness is frightening.

I've gotten so used to smiling!friendly!Yamamoto, that I often forget that Reborn called him a "natural assassin." Nevertheless, there are some chilling fics where Yamamoto turns into a killing machine for Tsuna, but it absolutely breath-taking to read a story where that potential is used AGAINST Tsuna, and not for.

I really liked how you set up the premises; I was able to surmise that in here Yamamoto was the enemy, so I was (pleasantly) confused by your mentions of the "sword idiot" and the "Rain Guardian". At first I wondered how Squalo would ever work for Tsuna, but as I continued reading, it all fit into place. Really, how different would KHR be if Enrico really did stage a coup? You've given everyone (especially me) deliciously enticing thoughts of "what could be".

The Gokudera and Yamamoto scene in the bar is informative and really fleshes out Yamamoto's good-guy-gone-bad background. I also liked that Gokudera remains so human, and unable to kill someone who has shown him mercy.

Confident!Tsuna is always a plus, and even though he appears infrequently, adds to the depth of this piece.

At first when i was reading this story and Gokudera thought something like, " That's where the Tenth and the sword idiot was sparring." And i was like, Oh Tsuna and Yamamoto. But then later you only mentioned Gokudera finding Squaldo and Tsuna was fighting someone. and i was thinking, Where's Yamamoto and who's fighting Tsuna?

After a long time reading more into the story, i suddenly realised, OH! YAMAMOTO IS THE BAD GUY. Right. I feel a bit slow now. Heh. Wells anyway, good job on making Yamamoto seem to be more "EVIL" then he is in the original story plot. And when you said that he had no mercy in cutting down his enemies, i was thinking that this personality you created for this new Yamamoto was the opposite from the original Yamamoto in the anime/manga. So cool :D

But it was sad that he committed suicide in the end. I thought he would join Vongola. but i guessed i should have heeded your warning at the start of the story when you wrote there would be character death...

So yupps to sum it all up i felt that this is an awesome story :D
