While it saddens me that your ending the fic, I still think you can write even with a family, but I appreciate that you're able to at least post something of an ending. Thanks for the story, and best of luck with that third family member!

If you ever return to this story, there are quite a few areas in existing chapters where you could stretch the content a bit further.

For instance, it would have been interesting to actually witness some of the character development with the other members of the Point/Star instead of just being informed about it, or to read Cortana's first conversation with Meghan, and/or John's first debriefing with Khan McEvedy.

It also would have been neat to see what some of the other Clans were up to during the months of John's training, with the Clan politics going on and everyone focusing their aggression on Clan Wolverine. And of course, seeing the Wolverine scientists and technicians experiment with the tech on the Forward Unto Dawn would have also been a fun read. There's nothing quite like a catastrophic failure when trying to reverse-engineer Lostech from another universe~

Six years later, and still sitting unfinished. It actually saddens me whenever a good story comes to an abrupt end, and doesn't get updated for years.

I have been a fan of BattleTech as long as I can remember, and while I once have considered myself a staunch supporter of Clan Wolf... Suddenly, I think that most of the Clans are a bunch of bastards for what they've done.

The only place Battlech has energy shielding, is in the Last Battlemech game.
For every other Battlemech game, energy shielding is bullshit.

I also so not get why they sid not empty the Forward Onto Dawn her hanger bays of troop transports.
Even if it was to get a couple of each type, so they had tech samples for reverse engineering, if wanted.

Remember, in the Chief his eyes, he is on a russian warships as a american soldier, during the cold war.
You portray the Chief all wrong.

Yes, he wouls have liked the lift, but he would have asked if he could bring along some of his own stufff, as well.
This resulting in him recovering a bomber, a dighter a shuttle loaded with a tank, another shuttle loaded with a Warthog, crates filked with spareparts, ammo, fuel, weapons, ODST armor, Spartan armor repair stuff, Elite weapons, armor, shields, ammo, fuel rods and more.
Simply put, he would have take this gear with him, so nobody would notice the nukes he also would have taken with him.

Couple of problems.
1 Two people of quite a good strenght are needed to help you put the armor on.
2 Cortana might be using John his head as a CPU, the armor contains the other parts she needs in order to run.
3 The armor runs on a nuclear reactor.

You probably have more.
