Pity Kilgharrah hadn't swooped down and rescued Merlin as he was following the dragon's prophecy and it would be one in the eye for Uther to realise he is not as powerful as he thought and the fact made clear if Merlin wasn't there Camelot would fall and Uther would be the cause.
