But he did tell me something that would never ever leave my thoughts. His words were etched forever into my head, and as I turned my gaze to Leah, I remember what he wanted from me.

That was a beautiful story. It reminded me how my best friend's father and my second dad died. I teared up because what a father tells his son while he is dying is so weighted and heavy. Like your story your dialog in that moment seemed very real! I appreciate that! Until next time!

I'm just going to write what I was thinking while reading your story:

"This one is good, this one is very good. This one is really, really good."

It can of sad to get this side of Jake, the side where is just a little boy and he's going to lose his dad and I know what I'm talking about I'm writing a fic where eventually Billy will die, too and it's told from Jacob's POV and even if I'm the one who wrote it I cry everytime I read my chapter.

Enough about me. I mean I really, really like your story, I've already voted for the contest but if I hadn't I think I would have definitely voted for yours.

We always see Jacob as a strong funny guy but really is just like us, is not a super hero, he's human and you really rendered this side of him in your story!

Even though I'm a Bella/Jacob shipper I thought this was really great - really well-written and emotional.

You made me cry, damnit. And fanfic doesn't usually make me cry. The part that killed me was the end when Leah is comforting him. There's just something about the way he's describing how he feels and her being there and *cries*
