EXCELLENT in detail, imagery, character development ot each player. I felt for Illya in his struggle to hold on during torture, remain coherent afterwards, his relationship to Napoleon, his relalationship to the girl when she failed to understand and his kindness to her. Illya nobly walks away with blood on his back. He reminds me of the knight in the song THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM.

PLEASE keep writing. I wait to know what happens as this drama unfolds.

People often see Illya as cold and unfeeling, but he's neither. But he is a man doing his best in often less than attractive situations - like climbing a tree after being whipped and whupped. it takes a certain amount of detachment to do his job. You did a good job of representing both sides of his personality.

Good job! The episodes generally gloss over the pain the agents would be in after being whipped, knocked out, beaten, etc. Thanks for giving us a peak.

Would you consider giving "The Concrete Overcoat Affair" a similar treatment? Especially since in that one, after being tortured and nearly drowned and then running all over the place, Illya at least admitted being "pooped"!

Okay, this is downright odd... having just recently discovered "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", I pop in here to see what the fanfic's like, and the first thing I see is a Bedh/Lothi collaboration! SWEET!

Poor Illya - it's his fate to suffer mightily so we can have but a glimpse past his amror. Well done,even though we all know the outcome, you built the suspense well.
