I feel you captured Ryou's... I'd say *essence* in this fic. He *is* an observer, not really doing much, and I like how you did make it more vague than your other fics, which I think makes this one fresh and interesting. Great job overall!

Interesting. It took me much longer to get it than I would hope but I've been out of Yuugiou a long time and only touching back in fanfiction the past day or so.

Oh, so sad! I swear, I cried reading this. I really liked your use of italics, especially how you used it to bring out what Ryou wanted to say, but couldn't. That was really effective. You wrote this extremely well, bringing across Ryou's loneliness and desperation successfully, with a nice, simple style. The vagueness suited it! Great job, I liked this a lot- well done!

I really like this fic. I think you perfectly hit your goal with it. The imagery is awesome, and of course I was not expecting Bakura to refuse. Yet it seems more logical this way, like he, himself, gave up any hope of being an active part of anything.

Reallyreally. The style is so good, and the imagery that is brought about by the words is so moving. I love the interplay between the outside events and then Ryou's inner thoughts. That's probably my favorite part, that and the part where he almost admits his own status as an observer before Yuugi interrupted his thoughts. Ahh this story was such a pleasant surprise, I really like the stories which make me work a little to get it, and this was really good. Good job! Thank you for writing this!

Aw i feel so bad for Ryou. He really is just an onlooker in the show. the really reason he is there, is so that Bakura can be there. Otherwise he wasn't important. Am i the first reviewer? I'm not sure. Anyways, great one-shot!
