this story is really good so far! i love their interactions and gilberts curiosity about humans and ludwig. it's adorable! i also like that you address the whole saltwater fish in freshwater thing, because most author's forget about those little details.

it's too bad that ludwig will have to go back home soon though... he should see how much a small house by the beach would be to live in! or maybe how much it would be to buy a boat so that he could stay with gilbert in some cove or grotto that no one owns and go on land for work and food.

Oh my gosh, this was such a beautiful story. I absolutely loved the character development. I really hope you finish this story, I really want to know what happens to our poor albino merman! I realize that this hasn't been updated recently, but I'm just going to hope! :)

Yeah, I know I already reviewed this story once. But I read it again because I can't stop thinking about it, and I just wanted to reassert how much I would like this story to be updated. I can't recall any errors (which is quite nice to see in a fanfiction), and the story itself has risen to the point where my gut actually feels unwell watching Gilbert suffer and Ludwig figure out exactly what's wrong.

Please - let us see what's going to happen next! Surely the three or four chapters you predicted can't be too hard to write. And it would be really nice if Gilbert and Ludwig could have a happy ending (maybe Ludwig sells everything he owns and buys a boat), but any sort of ending would work for me because (a) it's an ending and (b) I'm comfortable enough with your writing and plotting style that I'll accept whatever you suggest.

...That's all? I read this story voraciously, which is pretty impressive considering that I'm not - or wasn't - a fan of Germancest. But somehow, with an idea that should have been ridiculous, with a pairing that should have been impossible - it worked. Even though there wasn't as much fluff as I normally read, somehow you had the perfect balance of technical details and character development to keep me interested. I loved Gilbert, from his curiosity to his sympathy to his irritability, and I found myself sympathizing with Ludwig, not for the normal reason (he's surrounded by idiots) but because he's trying so hard and falling so fast. I know you haven't updated this in a year, but maybe if I'm lucky, I can see how and if they work this out.
