Yipee! An epilogue!

This is by far one of the greatest fanfics I have ever read. One that just pops out in the middle of nowhere and mesmerizes the general audience :D

Though the chapter is short, it ends the story quite perfectly as Diego has finally found peace within himself.

i know i never reviewed before (or not that i recall, anyway), but as this beautiful piece is over now, i felt like i should let you know how much i LOVED it. this story has got to be the best Ice Age story i have EVER read. the way you write, the description you use, the suspense, the way you go into the character's thoughts and feelings with such detail... simply beautiful! i'm a total angst lover, and the angst that was in here (in the certain parts where there was angst) was great :D this last chapter was simply amazing, and the last paragraph made me smile so hard lol XD awesome :D

your story made me smile every time i saw it come up in my email, before i even read the chapter XD it's so well written and has some REALLY powerful stuff in it! again, i LOVE this story :D

i have one question for you: can we expect any more Ice Age fics from you? if so, i would LOVE to read them :D

Oh, I'm really glad I didn't take this off of alert! :D And I guess my question of "Is there more?" from my previous review is answered, so thank you for and this magnificent final chapter to this epic saga of yours that I adore ever so much! :-)

I've known for a long while that this is one of the best Ice Age fics ever in the fandom, and it's been a real joy to trace Diego's emotions from guilt and betrayal to the struggles that accompany making the right decision, however excruciating it is, and to the blissful embrace of forgiveness.

One of the things I loved most about the middle part of your story is how you show the relationship between Diego and Peaches, and so this line sums it all up beautifully:

[Diego sighed to himself, stretching contentedly. The sun was warm, his stomach was full, a soft breeze was blowing, and the sound of laughter was drifting up from the pools of melting snow. Everything was as perfect as it could possibly be at that one moment in time. He rolled over into a more comfortable position, and with a last protective look at Peaches, closed his eyes and drifted off into sleep.] :D :-)

Thank you for the utterly amazing read you've given all of us - it's a rare opportunity to find a story of such caliber in this relatively small fandom archive, and I have really enjoyed this story with all its twists and surprises and satisfying conclusions and in-depth implications written in. (I love implications-heavy writing - that's the writing that causes you to read it over again to pick up another nuance or find a new nugget of truth that you've missed - my definition; and your writing is that. :D )
