tresta chapter 7 . 8/16/2018 Re: Terran domestic cats and Tribbles: IMHO the Tribbles’ movemeNT isn’t right to tempt a house cat. It’s bright colors and small jerky movements that make birds and fish so irresistible- for mice, it’d just be how they move. So no I don’t think cats would want to hunt or eat Tribbles. Just my two cents. Although feral cats just might, if hungry, I don’t see the scenario. A cat on a Starfleet ship would always be a well fed cat. A cat could adjust much easier to shipboard life than a dog. Just as they did on the old sailing ships. Although on the Starfleet ships their job would likely be Compainion to Crew and not Vermin Removal. Chekov May be on the right track with his suggestion that McCoy would find happiness with a car..McCoy would be very hard to convince, though! -tresta |
tresta chapter 5 . 8/16/2018 Librarians Rule! Thank you for this fabulous story! It is carefully researched and very well written. I am enjoying it *very* much and already cannot wait to read more of your work. -Tresta |
tresta chapter 4 . 8/16/2018 Do you ride to hounds? -tresta |
Villyviking chapter 7 . 2/3/2018 An absolutely lovely story |
Leonarema chapter 7 . 10/4/2017 What a hilarious ending! Thank you for including our original Spock. Only one small quibble, I assume a doctor (Machubahay) would check up on Leonard immediately after they found him. I really like your way of writing - and your author's comments. |
Leonarema chapter 6 . 10/4/2017 I got the the reference to The Hound of the Baskervilles not the one to Monty Python. A mighty hound indeed! By the way, it is Walküre with an "ü", at least if you want to write it the German way. You won't have that letter. If we Germans (yeah, I'm German) don't have a keybboard with an "ü", we write it "ue" instead. I suppose native speakers of English just loose the dots. Sorry for being fastidious, I love languages. |
Leonarema chapter 4 . 10/4/2017 It's great that you include original characters. I haven't watched TOS in a while but I remember Kyle. |
Leonarema chapter 3 . 10/4/2017 I absolutely agree with you when it comes to names. It's the same with languages. So Klingons basically just have three dialects (if I remember correctly from Star Trek 2009) and Vulcans just speak Vulcan. I like the fact that they integrated a reasonable way of dealing with the universal translator in Star Trek Beyond. At least in the beginning (I think) we heard that the female villain (I don't remember her name) was speaking a different language and that it was translated by the computer. I know it's a bit too much to expect from a TV show in the sixties to properly deal with the concept of a universal translator but it always irked me a little bit. |
Leonarema chapter 2 . 10/4/2017 I really like your humor. |
Leonarema chapter 1 . 10/4/2017 "The beagle has landed." You had me there. |
Genibane chapter 7 . 2/24/2017 What a wonderful story! |
pleurocoelus chapter 7 . 8/28/2016 Fizzbin, Sehlats, and Puns- oh, my! A fitting end to an enjoyable story. Loved Spock Prime's explanation of the katra transfer's effects. And, of course, resolving the story with Spock making the pun was just beautiful. In a way, the entire story was a brick joke. Well done! |
pleurocoelus chapter 6 . 8/28/2016 Heh. Messing with your captors' minds there, Scotty? Loved seeing the pooch get to sniff out the captives. |
pleurocoelus chapter 4 . 8/28/2016 Oh, I can sympathize about real life taking precedence. Still enjoying the story. |
pleurocoelus chapter 2 . 8/28/2016 Wow, the old pooch has really done wonders for McCoy. I guess it's true what they say about dogs liking Bones. |
