For some reason I didn't see this story until just this afternoon, but I'm glad I found it (through another writer's recommendation). While A2A unfolded from Alex's POV and of course many fanfic stories do as well, I've found relatively few first-person narratives, and this does her situation justice. It leaves me wanting more, in fact. Well done.

I like the way you've identified why Alex wouldn't work for Summers. That she knew that, if she had to betray her friends to get back home, she would debase herself as a person and no longer be a fit mother for Molly. And that she has just seen that kind of betrayal in action, in Chris's downfall.

But Sam wasn't hit and run? I thought the tumour was only discovered when they were operating on him after the accident...
