I was wondering if the FN FAL was actually a L1A1 SLR since that fitted the points you've made better. The French FN FAL was actually fully automatic where as the British one was only semi-automatic.

I left a review back in 2014, asking if this was ever going to be finished. I'm in a completely different place than I was back then, but your story still has a hold over me that I haven't encountered from any other fic. This story is quite well written and you have quite a few interesting ideas. You may wish to edit for mistakes you made throughout in a few sentences here and there, getting the order of words mixed up and such. I hope you continue the tale.

You kept the Little Lamplight/Big Town dynamic, which is absolutely preposterous. I like how expansive the vocabulary you use is.

Jet is more like jankum crossed with crack really, med-x is basically just morphine or heroin, and psycho is akin to PCP or meth. I like the characterization and the ideas you've come up with for the region, although you mentioned baltimore earlier, which would likely be bombed out to a high degree.

I enjoyed the opening chapter and the ideas you had regarding Fallout 2's aftermath. You mention the cap currency system, but make no attempt to justify their use on the East Coast, however. Bethesda didn't either. The only reason caps were used back in New California was due to the water merchants agreeing to back them with denominations of water. Without a system to give them value, they're worthless.
