Yes, well. One: wouldn't we all like to be in that elevator? Two: yes - for the doctors/staff who aren't discommoded by House, which is probably most of them, I mean it must be a fair-sized hospital, it is cool to think that they actually *enjoy* the spectator sport of House (and House/Wilson).

(There's a brief scene in one of the third season? episodes where House is trying to question a patient who's been brought into ER, and the paramedic is trying to do HIS job and keep the patient alive, and House snaps at him that he should have gone to medical school, and the paramedic snaps back "Bite me!" and I thought: yes, House is an arrogant git, but it *says* something about him that he's a senior consultant whom a low-level hospital employee knows he can talk back to without getting slammed for it.)

Just found this fic... wow. Oh, sorry. WOW!

The story moved really well and the dialogue fit the situation perfectly. I enjoyed Dr. Xu, she is an interesting character and the fact she could banter with Wilson was a nice touch. I'm not a slash fan, but I am a fan of bang endings and the end of this story was perfect.

I don't wanna be a bitch but I felt I should address this

-She wonders why she's expected to talk to a Japanese woman since she herself is Chinese (and would presumably speak Mandarin or Cantonese etc), when in fact she only speaks English.

-I figure House has said more offensive things ;P

It was fun, I always like to see House and Wilson's relationship from a different perspective. I always wondered what the rest of the hospital were thinking when everyone was arguing over the case loudly in public areas.

Two points (I really hate doing this):

-You said "and wonders why she's expected to spout Mandarin at an elderly Japanese woman when she only knows English and three halfhearted years worth of high school Spanish" - um, Mandarin is Chinese, Japanese is the used language in Japan.

-You also called Foreman "Not-White", which can be viewed as a bit offensive and racist.

Otherwise, It was good.
