Awww, that hurt ... I wish you had written another chapter for this because it's a great chap (and I know it can stand alone) ... it's just so sad that apparently they never get the chance to talk, for Qui to see how much he has hurt Obi Wan. *sniff* Way to go!

The angst really comes through here, always thought that meeting in the film was harsh and this makes up for the feelings not expressed. I especially liked the ending to this one.

This was a very well-written piece. I feel so bad for Obi-Wan. I ALWAYS feel bad for him in THAT scene. The look of hurt and betrayal on his face and in his eyes just breaks my heart.

Obi can make all the excuses he wants for Qui-Gon, but you don't treat anyone you care about the way Qui-Gon treated Obi-Wan. If he did expect for Obi to just go on his merry way after being tossed aside like an old boot, that just goes to show how arrogant and self-absorbed Qui-Gon really is.

Qui-Gon blew it in two HUGE ways in that Council meeting. First, is hurting Obi the way he did. Second, is speaking of his belief that Anakin is the Chosen One in front of Anakin. Bad, bad, bad!

The way Obi reacted by walking away at the end is completely understandable. And Obi is too hard on himself when he thinks he's acting immature. He may be a Jedi, but he is still human and can still feel emotional wounds. Qui-Gon owes him a major apology. But if this story follows canon, Obi better not hold his breath. Thanks for sharing! :)

Wow. Obi and Qui sure are two of the most stubborn beings ever in the universe. Follow up on this, will you? JAU

Such a sad piece. Poor Obi-Wan! Will there be a follow up chapter dealing with Qui's feelings? Or, perhaps a a reconciliation? The ending got to me, I feel so bad for Obi.

I remember after my divorce I went through a stage of who am I? It was more from married to unmarried, but divorced is different from unmarried. So, I really can identify with Obi-Wan, where do I fit and how do I react.

I thought the rain and the wild ones were so great to identify with Qui-Gon.

A very good look into the soul of Obi-Wan going back to Naboo, Again. Even better, because we know what happens.

Okay, I may have to go on record, LE, as saying this could very well be the best fic you've ever done. Intense and quietly emotional. Obi-Wan's feelings about Anakin seem so dead-on, it's facsinating. I love that first big paragraph regarding Qui-Gon and the rain. This fic is just stellar. You've outdone yourself.

Good job! Qui can be a... jerk; he deserved that.

When I first watched TPM, I only had the briefest knowledge on the Star Wars world. Words like 'Padawan' and everything else in between threw me. But the moment when Qui-Gon basically chose Anakin over Obi-Wan in that one moment, I was like, 'Say what?' Even I, who had NO idea what the hell was going on, felt really bad for ol' Obi-Wan who was pushed aside so easily.
