Yuzu chapter 1 . 6/29/2019
Wow..Just wow
Really impressive yuffentine you did here. Spot on. I can totally see this happening in the canon story.
Boogum chapter 1 . 3/22/2018
You write Yuffentine as well!

This was great! I think you got Yuffie's character perfect.
great gospel chapter 1 . 8/6/2015
I think you had an excellent grasp on Yuffie's character - from her whimsical activities with the others to trying to hide her suffering behind that carefree facade. And I liked how you touched on her relationship with Vincent, while still keeping Yuffie as the central part of this story. Well done.

I like this story so much I keep reading it over and over _ I've always liked the idea of Yuffie and Vincent

Erilin-chan chapter 1 . 9/2/2011
Loved it, very preceptive way of writing Yuffie and Vincent.

punkiemonkie chapter 1 . 6/19/2009
You can try all you want, but you won’t scare me away from your writing, even if it is something that you haven’t written before. ;P Lol, “Selene Sparkle”, that’s great. Kind of sounds like a drag queen’s name to me though, rather than a stripper or a cartoon character. XD I’m with Cloud; Yuffie IS going to corrupt the children! That’s part of what makes her so entertaining though. ;) There you go again, teaching me new words. “Waif” is a fun one too.

I like that even though you have light-hearted, comical things in the beginning of this, you still end up showing a different side to Yuffie; one that is more serious and mature on the inside and just uses the bouncy personality people expect of her as a cover for her troubles. It gives her character a lot more depth. I also really liked how you were able to have Vincent show his affection for her in small, almost unnoticeable ways (just the fact that he keeps clothes for her there says a lot to me), but you still kept him in character. When it’s put that way, the Yuffie/Vincent pairing makes a lot more sense to me. Not that I’ve ever minded it before, but I’ve just never seen anyone write about it while still managing to keep them both in character, so the whole thing kind of put me off. Needless to say though, you have made me see them in a different way with this, and, as always, I loved it. :3
Jean V chapter 1 . 6/9/2009
Oh gods.

I suppose you don't need another person telling you how awesome this is...but it's really awesome D I love your portrayal of Yuffie

It's a really beautiful fic. D Thank you for sharing this with us!
Youko-Kokuryuuha chapter 1 . 5/20/2009
Oh, wow, Qwi. I really liked this one.

I think you captured the less bouncy, more solemn part of Yuffie's personality with this piece. Instead of focusing on her sunny smiles and laughs, you focused on how she often uses those things to hide the sadness and desperation belying them.

And I liked how you positioned Vincent as her anchor to reality; as the one physical force capable of making her admit to it all and comfort her through the bad times. The clashing themes-cold and warm-also served well to describe his character.

It just seems...well, I dunno, *fitting* that the stoic pale man could be her solid foundation in her time of emotional need. Comforting her without ever really saying a word. That’s Vinnie.

Plus, there was Yuffentine. :)

Nice, solid, strong piece. Favoriting this one, Qwi.

oh god, that was so beautiful
scienceguy chapter 1 . 4/27/2009
Nice work, especially for your first foray into a Yuffie/Vincent piece.

Though everyone was in character, I will say there was one thing that felt off: the consistency relationship itself. From what you said in mid-piece, I got the feeling that Yuffie comes over just to blow off steam (felt like Yuffie though the first kiss described was of minimal emotional importance) but in your ending the relationship seems much deeper. Not sure if this was your intent-to show how Yuffie is trying to deal with the emotional turmoil, but the execution just struck me as odd.

However, as I said earlier, nice work, and I hope that you will continue in this pairing as well as your usual (Tifa/Cloud) work.
xoVanilla-Bean chapter 1 . 4/25/2009
YUFFENTINE, YAY! XD And it's new for you and that's so awesome, but it doesn't even /seem/ new because you captured them both beautifully with Yuffie's other, not-so-serious side and how she handles herself. And the sentence structures. They were YUFFIE!

Seriously, this is gold. The last line was freaking amazing, and I loved it.

And Selene Sparkle. And Vincent's hug and his extreme eyes that can see through her so much. XD
D chapter 1 . 4/23/2009
YUFFENTINE? YUFFENTINE?

SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU BEEN WRITING THAT?

...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS STORY.

NEED TO WRITE MORE OF THEM OF-MAGNIFICENT-WRITER YOU!

;D
Synchrony chapter 1 . 4/21/2009
I really enjoyed this fic, especially how the narration transitions from such trivial things to (at the end) something so very serious. I think you write Yuffie's POV very well here with the thoughts and events following very fast one after another- it came across to me as her being slightly hysterical, although it only really emerges later. The relationship between them was also portrayed very realistically, with a definite deep bond there but no over the top affection. So, overall, great fic!
