I want to write something but my mind is empty. This was so tragic, I feel like a wave has washed me from the shore. Such a shame Mello was too slow. Such a shame that Matsuda had to give him that damn bag. I think this is a first time somebody made me dislike Matsu. Beautiful, heartbreaking ending. A sad story of an overdose. Thanks for writing that.

I wanted to say thank you, I was reading this story as the clock struck midnight which marks my birthday, today is my birthday, and I cried when i read this. It was really sad and beautiful story.

Wow, that was super depressing! I think it was the end that really got me, the part when Mello says he won't ever say I love you because Matt wasn't going to die on him...I teared up. :) Great story!

Christie is one of those OCs that I don't particularly mind being around. The type who's THERE, but doesn't influence the couple too much. Y'know, that kind. The kind that isn't like CxOC PAIRING because I hate those things with a PASSION. I mean seriously, some STUPID PEOPLE seem to like SEPARATING the GREATEST COUPLES EVER so that their own imaginary person can TAKE THE GUYS AWAY!

I don't read it either, obviously. ' Now, I'm not saying it's not okay to have OCs in a fic, or even as a partner for one of the guys in the couple, but it shouldn't be like "this person is this guy's love intrest" or " this person greatly impacts both of their lives just by being there." I mean, serious BULLS-. ' *ahem*

Anyway, good job on the story and yes, I do think Christi was a better placement than Maggie. XD; Maggie's a hooker and she's mostly uneducated - so putting her there wouldn't have made much sense. I like what you were doing, you worked two angles with Mello and Christi and made Mello's connection with Matthew stronger.

Oh, and...

"Hey, Christi-baby, don't bother coming home. I love ya and all, but, you won't love me. I did a little more then smoke in your apartment today."

This was so depressing! I haven't found any good Mello/Matt stories in awhile, so this was a nice find. And I did like your OC, which was rare, since I'm not the biggest fan of them. I never really pictured Matsuda as a druggie, but then again, I can't really picture anyone else being one either, so I can understand why you'd pick him.

I had a feeling when I was reading this that it wasn't going to have a happy ending, but I kept hoping I would be wrong. Even though it ended sadly, it was still wonderful. Good job.
