Oh that was cute...sweet and that end was so funny, I can just picture the look on his face when he finds out what the 'love letter' and who the 'father' really was. On the other hand...it was a part in a romance...I wonder what the retelling of the story will be next time he tells it. 10/10

Ah! Beautiful! I love the way the maitre d' tells the story. You have the accent, the point of view, everything. In fact, it's even better thatn the dialogue between Alfredo and Colette.

AMAZING! Seriously, the whole thing is just so incredibly well-written. The maitre d' is especially interesting... and the Harry Potter analogy is odd, but still somehow perfect. All in all, one of the better romantic fics I've read.

So many things to love- Colette's early cynicism dashed away by the story until they're both speechless, completely caught up in "the rest of the story"; the maitre's take on what the story must have been; Skinner's comparison to a house elf; and best, the satisfaction that both Colette and Linguini learn just how much Remy risked for them. Beautiful!

Sounds like a nifty honeymoon (we once spent Christmas doing drywall because we had to give the ceiling jack back, but that wasn't nearly as much fun).

Nice fic, as usual. My favorite thing about it is the banter between Alfredo and Colette. Loved when he started speaking in Italian to her. But I'm just a sucker for Italian, so maybe that's just bias. Lol, but no, that was cute.

You know why I love to read your work? Because by the end, I'm always filled with a rising tide of warmth. This is what filmmakers are trying for when they make a "feelgood" movie. They usually fail. You never have.
