Shit, this just...both killed me with sadness and softness (especially the ending). I always felt horrible for this pair of siblings what with the messed up way their parents treated them.

This is so good! I love seeing Azula and Zuko's relationship, and how it deteriorated over the years. Poor kids! :(

I love the way this is backwards; that it shows their relationship falling apart the wrong way, because we all know it's wrong in the beginning, and at the end you're left wondering why it went so wrong and simultaneously knowing why. I love it. Particularly the part with 'the secret is that Zuko loves his father more than...', told as if it's something everyone except Zuko knows; something Zuko's not allowed to know, and that it's altogether terrifying and delicious, rather than something tragic and inevitable. Love it.
