I love your sense of humor! I really enjoy the different POVs, and I was picturing this as an episode of Batman TAS in my head.

Best fic I've read in ages. First of all, I always feel that it's important to point out when someone can actually write. So much fanfiction is basically unreadable due to bad grammar, lack of capitalization, and typos, but there were only a very few awkward sentences in the entire twenty-three chapters, and that's more than I can say for anything I've ever written. So, right on with that.

Your characterization was pretty great. Scarecrow came off as an every-geek, yet steered clear enough from being meta that his personality was still distinct. I also liked how you walked a fine line with Harley, where she never seemed so sympathetic to Scarecrow that it undercut her relationship with the Joker yet never came across as the mean-girl sidekick. Seems like it would have been easy either way. The best was easily the Joker though. He had enough of the Mark Hamill thing going on that he fit the light-hearted comedy tone of the story, yet had enough genuine evilness that he was somehow not a cartoon. I think the way that the goofiness hid the thinly-veiled sadism actually gave some tension to scenes between him and Scarecrow that really made you sympathize with him.

That being said...

I think the story started to lose focus about halfway through. After Scarecrow was "proved" to be a nerd that should have been near the end. It was the point of the story after all, but it kind of meandered on for about another ten chapters. It was enjoyable meandering, but still, could have used trimming. It kind of had an "and then, and then, and then" quality. Especially with the fight scenes. You tended to put too many jokes in between the action sequences and it kind of killed the momentum.

And the constant references could be fun, but with so many of them they could come across as forced and awkward. Sometimes it was actually distracting and took me out of the story.

But all in all I enjoyed it immensely and it caused me to procrastinate a fair bit. I do this often anyway, but I'm always glad for a new reason to do so, so you've been added as one of my favorite authors.

This was fantastic. I read it all in a day (Phew) and plan on immediately reading the sequel. I'm surprised Poison Ivy and the Scarecrow didnt team up in the show. It makes sense, because I'm sure Pam would have a lot of goodies that could go towards Crane's experiments. Well, after she gave him permission to use her plants, that is.

Okay, I have to admit: This was really good and really funny. I thought you were going to be like this other person who was really rude to my friend who isn't writing on here anymore, but you can actually write a good fanfic. This was funny and just wow. I'm sorry you hate my story but please don't read it again. Please.

I really can't wait for your next Batman fanfiction. I bet it'll be great because you're a great author.

Absolutely gorgeous. Your characterization is spot-on, the reference-hunting is a lot of fun, and I honestly can't think of a better person to write Dr. Jonathan Crane, given that your sense of humor is so very dry and impeccably clever. Poor, precious soul- I think we all wanted him to catch a break, but his situation was just too funny for any of us to stop reading long enough to stick up for him.

Ugh, the Joker as a roommate. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever.

Also, two thumbs way, way up for your portrayals of Batman and Poison Ivy. They weren't around for long, but they were flawless and hilarious (a difficult achievement, given that neither of them shows much evidence that they possess a sense of humor in general). I think the basement fight with Batman may have been my favorite part of the entire story, though there were many, many others (I particularly loved the Joker's squabbles with Harley- poor woman).

You're a fabulous writer and I'm thrilled beyond measure that you're writing a sequel. On that note, I'm off to go read it now. Never stop!

One thing I really liked about this story is how you portrayed the Joker. Quite a lot of fanfic I've read with the Joker has him as being a slightly mental clown with a taste for trouble. However, in this fic, you write him as he really is; a sadistic murderer with a sick clown fetish. I am also quite impressed with the length of this fic, and the fact that there were close to no errors with spelling. I have to say, this is one of my favorite fics I have read, and I am deeply excited to read the next part!

This is a really interesting fic. I enjoy reading it :D
