I wish this was more Leoben/Kara rather than Kara/Lee. Its hard to find leoben stories and i was hoping this sequel would be one of them. There are plenty Kara/Lee stories

Love the story! I like how you made Carolanne a Cylon. She is much more interesting in that role than Ellen. Also, answers the question of how Lee and Kara project each other to themselves. Although, what does that make Baltar? I am looking forward to how Bill will react to his former wife being a Cylon, how Roslin will react to Bill having children with a Cylon, and how Lee will react to knowing he is part Cylon. Much more possibilities with this plot.

I'm loving the sequel, although I am more Kara/Leoben than Kara/Lee.
I'm just crazy wondering that the babies can really be Lee's, or, by a miracle, Tristan (I liked the name Alec better) could be Lee's and Selene could be Leoben's.
Hope to read more soon, or whenever you find time to post.
Maybe I can get more Leoben/Kara soon? Pretty please?

I must say I'm enjoying Alone and Lost far more than I did Kidnapped because I was very uncomfortable with some of the themes you chose to work with there. :) It was still enjoyable read, but this story gives me hope that there's going to be a happy end for Lee and Kara. And it makes me feel better that the children might be Lee's and not Leoben's.

Hi. I've read this and Kidnapped. I have to concur with one of the other reviewers that this has been one of the more original takes on the characters. I do hope that you give Kara and Lee some redemption/happiness because the Series itself was quite brutal with them. You were brutal to Kara at a whole new level with Kidnapped, so I hope that you don't bring back Leoben as a "perceived" good guy. As another reviewer said, Kara's Stockholm Syndrome/rape was horrific and I really hope that the kids are Lee's (but I do see the dramatic pull of having the babies belong to individual fathers - but now I'm not sure which baby should belong to who if that were the case). As in canon, I hope that your version of Lee will always choose Kara, so for Gods' sake please let your version of Kara choose Lee.

I've been unforgivably reticent in reviewing this story, which is more a measure of my puzzlement than anything else. How can one NOT like something that blends wit, family, and mystery together into a realistic muddle?

I confess a lot of the characters don't feel quite 'real' to me yet, these new cylons especially. Then again, we're seeing Kara in a wholly different and distinct situation here; for all we readers know, she's simply 'projecting' again is possibly lying on some distant planet, slowly dying from oxygen starvation.

Okay, okay. That's no more likely than the reader getting a date with Katee Sackhoff herself. In many respects I'm wrestling with so many of the concepts and underlying (and still unexplained) elements to this new world our favorite hot-shot pilot has found herself in.

This latest development, suggesting Leoben hadn't been lying to Roslin when saying "Adama is a cylon", is breaths entirely new life into Apollo's thus-far-tangential involvement with the overall storyline. Honestly I've always found the relationship between Kara and Lee more compelling than any version of what lies between Kara and Leoben (who to my mind never gelled as an actual character).

On that point I'm left to wonder how Kara will react to learning just how thoroughly Leoben 'changed' her to his personal liking; I'd call it "rape", except the term hardly feels adequate. I still haven't worked up the courage to read "Kidnapped" completely; the author has is positively *chilling* in their depiction there.

That all said, whatever quibbles I might have with grammar and sentence structure, this story has consistently proven well worth the time. I truly, truly hope the author will continue SOON, because this latest twist is so delightful (especially with head!Kara hamming it up like this) I'm downright giddy. Please update soon!
