Oh goodness! Why did it take me so long to realize I hadn't reviewed? Sorry about that. ; Long overdue, but here it is!

I love it, AW! You NAILED Willy's character, from his personality all the way down to the little spiders that crawl around him! It's a joy seeing him in your work, and your work is top-notch! The texting girl cracked me up, and I liked the Scottish bagpiper. And lastly, the way you set the scene gives the mansion and its residents a certain...Disney quality, which is a good thing!

The one tiny little criticism I can make is the song. While I think its awesome, there are some places where the words seem off with the pacing of the original tune (trust me, though; I know how tricky that can be). Otherwise, I like the lyrics you've come up with. It's such a fun, quirky idea, and I give you kudos for doing Beatles tunes set in the Haunted Mansion!

This novella really speaks to me. It's powerful message and subtle hints of the desensitization of today's youth are present throughout, as "texting girl" is used to impugn how children and teenagers of today's society are seemingly less and less affected by violent or frightening scenes. Willy, of course, is a representation of "the good ol days," where a campfire story about a man with a hook for an arm could cause you to toss and turn in your oversized sleeping bag all night.

Cute story! I've never heard the song (or at least I don't think I have) so its parody was kind of lost on me, but I loved your description of "texting girl." I think if I saw someone riding on the Haunted Mansion and texting I'd have to punch them in the face.
