Wonderful missing scene. Jackson is so good with his advice. Very nice comparison of the two Gibbs’; how they are alike and different. Love the interaction between Jackson and Abby!

I absolutely love this missing scene for what is one of my favourite episodes. Have always loved anything with Jackson in it and once again, you've captured how the relationship between Gibbs and Abby could change and a believable catalyst for that. Superb take on Gibbs' memories too, especially bringing in what Shannon would have to say to him now - loved the line 'something about not forgetting the past but not letting it consume the future'... sums it up perfectly.

Gah, this is seriously one of my favorites. Probably because it has my three favorite things in it: Gibbs, Abby, and Jack. I read this one often, btw. We need more Gibbs/Abby fic with Jackson in it. *hint,hint* *nudge,nudge*

"Tony and McGee, she mused, weren't what she'd class as being gentlemen – they were wonderful and she loved them both dearly but they were of a different generation, in a different league." - What would she class them as, then?

"Do you always berate yourself in the middle of the night?" Jackson spoke softly but still managed to startle her with his unannounced arrival – another skill his son had inherited." - Hehehe, I think it is very cute that Jackson Gibbs would need squeaky shoes for Christmas (as Ducky said in "Silent night") too, just like his son.

The word LOVE doesn't begin to express how I feel about this story. My goodness, the skills you have in leaving no doubt Gabby could work just as well as any other ship. Freaking love it! But then, I said that already. Loved Jackson, the memories, the sleeping in his old room. All of it. Bravo.
