As excuses go, leaving Hermione because of a possible, imagined threat from Voldemort is kind of... silly. But the dust hadn't even settled when Harry and Hermione had sex and he was still a child/young man traumatised and scared so, I'll let that go. Not answering letters, that is selfish. Not answering letters, show any interest in the people and the world he left behind? What the hell Harry! He was so concerned about Hermione's safety that he ignored the world he left behind? That, I don't buy. One would assumed that Harry would have kept with news from the Wizarding world if he was so worried about the return of Voldemort. Besides, Hermione would have been in danger whether in a relationship with Harry or not. She is Muggleborn, she is a fighter and she would not stand by while people are hurt. So, dear Harry, as much as I love you, you are full of crap.

Well crap! Men whether real or fictional have a knack to make everything about themselves, don't they? I just hope I can still like Harry after all is said and done. I did enjoy Hermione's characterisation. She sounded like the Hermione I've learned to love and admire.

Okay, sounds promising. I love Harry, the mother in me can't help it. An abused, abandoned, manipulated boy deserves a break. I adore Hermione. I like Ron sometimes. Curious where this story goes. There's obviously a child Harry knows nothing about. Why is the big question.

And i wanted a conversations of harry's fears/doubts/reasons why he left to hermione.
Strange though weasleys are so potent about making baby's, and ron never could in a decade weird?

This is the most engrossed I've been in a story in a while. I read the whole thing in one shot. The twist with the villain was one of the more creative twists I've seen in a fic and the potion that Sirius and Hermione were dosed with legitimately freaked me out, especially when it was revealed what the antidote would do to a pregnant Hermione. I don't envy Harry for the choice he had to make there and I don't blame Hermione for initially acting cold towards him after she realized the choice he'd made.

I will say that the whole "Harry and Hermione have a one-night stand and then one of them abandons the other for years without so much as a note, Hermione ends up pregnant, and Harry doesn't find out until the kid is a decade old when something totally random brings them back together" storyline still isn't my favorite, but at least you went a different, interesting way with it by having Hermione eventually marry Ron and treat Harry Jr. as if he's Ron's kid.

Anyway, this was a really good story and I really enjoyed reading it.

This was probably one of the Finest written stories I've in awhile.
I'll add this to my story favorites.
