Lattelady chapter 1 . 3/21/2004 Wow! A very interesting POV, one I never would have expected, but you make it work so well, it makes my heart hurt. |
GIA-B chapter 5 . 5/2/2003 Oh, scandalous! This story was amazing! I love reading POV stories about scenes from many different character's perspective. You also took it one step further to give us some filler, and it totally worked well for the mood of the story. I particularly like "Evelyn's Secret"! I love Evie this way, the type who isn't perfect, and has her own insecurities (which is what I got from the line, "...and the surprising allure she found in his physical strength and his sheer desire of her body." Simply delicious. Don't get me wrong; I'm very much a Rick and Evie advocate, but this just fit so well. Loved it! Rock the casbah, GIA |
ellbee chapter 5 . 3/3/2003 I have been trying for 3 days to review this and has just been giving me fits. A thousand, a MILLION apologies for not reading this sooner, but it has been my loss, I see. I thought this series was perfect before, and now – it’s even more perfect. You do such a fabulous job with inner turmoil. I love it. -Ell |
Cloudburst2000 chapter 5 . 2/4/2003 ummm...this was ok I guess. I really don't see Evy as the cheating type though. I truly believe she loves Rick, and if she truly loves him, she would never do something so horrible. Also, I don't see Ardeth betraying his friends like that. The Med-jai have to much respect for that, IMHO. |
A.J. Mackey chapter 5 . 1/14/2003 Weeeelllllll...if you are going to take some cheerful hints about this series, then I have got to throw this one in to the fray...put them back together in the tumultuous but always fun O'Connell wedded bliss that they are so perfectly meant to be in! ;-) Now, Maureen, you knew I was going to say that. I read it, was uncomfortable, and am running away, back to 'Captain' and 'P2P'. People look at me strange when I look at my computer screen and yell, Nooooooooo! A loyal reader no matter what you write, Amy |
Mommint chapter 5 . 1/10/2003 Goada adfai Af eraiar... See? I can't even type after reading this chapter. Evelyn's secret and Ardeth's kiss at the end...oh just kill me now. Ex-cellant chapter my friend, especially potent when rather than expand on anything, ie her turbulant feelings from Ardeth's kiss (and who can blame the gal? I'd nearly be swooning! LOL) you simply type "ignored the black robes which brushed against her bare arm as they passed." I know less is sometimes better but...! Oy! ;-) |
MBooker chapter 4 . 1/10/2003 Oh! I forgot to say: You're not being very nice to me MArcher :(. I can't take much more of this, really I can't! Heart wretching, but excellent writing :). A Loyal (but hurting) fan! |
MBooker chapter 5 . 1/10/2003 This is too much! I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes! Not for Evelyn, but for Rick. I don't think I can stand this betrayal! And then he has the nerve to kiss her again! I can't take much more of this! Does Rick really know? And did he by chance see this most recent kiss? I can't take much more of this! OK, let me go now and cry my eyes out :( |
Eviefan chapter 5 . 1/9/2003 You've put a good twist on this story, the secret she has held for so long, the fact that Rick silently knows that something happened with his wife and with Ardeth, and the way you write it makes it very intriguing, and makes me want to see what will happen next. Did Rick see them? Shelby |
SithRuse chapter 5 . 1/9/2003 Eeeeeeeeeeee! Hehehe. Yay! I'm glad you've added more to this dark little series. I'm lovin' it, my friend! I mean wow...such angst. And so beautifully written, too! Nice language. So bittersweet...I would ask you for more, but would that be too much? :-O Just know if you were to continue with this thought I'd be back for more right quick. ;) Not that I'd advocate that sort of personal behavior...I do love Rickybug muchly, but it makes for such an interesting and angsty read! Too few authors step into the realm of iffy things people leave in the dark, understandably so, but I'm very glad to see one that does. :) Excellent work! |
MBooker chapter 2 . 4/23/2002 'She was his only weakness' Soothing... Quite soothing :) I think Rick might be my favorite of all. You expressed his emotions extremely well and I felt like I was right there with him feeling every emotion with him. |
MBooker chapter 1 . 4/23/2002 Alt View. Alt View. Alt View... I must remind myself that it's an Alternative View! lol 'The image of her in her husband's arms twisted his heart' twisted my heart. It's always a challenge for this R/E fan. And as AJ Mackey said 'Thank you for expanding my horizon a bit' cause I know I can be a status quo girl and I guess venturing out into new areas is good at times(but I'm RUNNING back to R/E! LOL). Good job as always. And now I'm off to reread Alt Rick. |
wildcardgal chapter 4 . 4/22/2002 Oh my. Very well done, all those undercurrents of emotion. I really enjoyed reading this and I hope there are more chapters to it. |
Lula chapter 4 . 4/22/2002 Well, this is definitely interesting! I love the different perspectives of thought. Just goes to show you no matter how close people are, they are so very different in thought, personality, etc. Oh, yeah, one thing I just can't imagine is a woman, for that matter, any woman in their right mind not wanting to be a "pleasing" wife to that man. Whoooo, I know I sure would like to be in her place, even for a day. Also, I would like to know "more" on the subject of Alex and how his paternal parentage came to be! Verrrry interesting. Anyways, great story! LOL |
A. J. Mackey chapter 4 . 4/21/2002 Whoa! MArcher. Didn't you used to write die hard Rick and Evie love stories? I love this couple, and your story made me uneasy. While I can't fall for the Ardeth and Evie thing, I found your stories of the thought processes of these characters in this 'what if' scenerio to be captivating. Perfect reflections of each of these characters thought processes. I remain a fan of your stories, and admit, this will be the one 'what if' situation I will read. Thank you for expanding my horizon a bit. Your weaving of the layers of Rick and Evie have long been a favorite of mine. How about another one of those soon too! A. J. Mackey |
