definitely House likes to keep "even"...just ask Dylan Crandell...closing out his accounts permanently...that is a great line.

You really built the tension in this story very well. Maybe you could do more multi-chapter fics. :)

Aww such a great look at the utterly complicated yet necessary friendship that they share. Excellent! I like the way you focused on Wilson thinking of House, instead of trying to also jam-in a version of House on Wilson as well.

Hey! I really liked this one-It's very well written, and kept perfectly in character. Enjoy the way yo play with the dynamics between them, the way you explain things the way only someone's best friend would know them. It's very personal, very real. Even though there's no major event in this peice, (which normally I dislike) the drama's there. Just, it doesn't happen at the funeral (like I'd have done it) it happens at Houses' place, in the morning, in a pretty normal sort of way. It's beautiful, really. It's a classic-I know i'll read this over again.

This is the last of your stories I hadn't read and I think it's time for a kind of eulogy ;) I love your stories because you've got a very clear, yet detailed writing style and an incredible grasp of the characters. But most of all, you manage to preserve the feel of the series, especially the sexual tension between Wilson and House. It's exactly like watching them on TV - and, like the series, you always walk the line between friendship and something more, yet you never overstep it. (I am still of the believe that H/W IS possible someday. Like Hugh Laurie said when questioned about House and his would-be romances with Cameron, Cuddy and Wilson "I expect, if the series runs long enough, he's gonna run through all of them."... yeah, well,... two down, already :D) I think the UST is what appeals to me most.

I have the distinct feeling that House slept with Wilson's old sleepover blankets. How cute! :D

aww! This made me tear up, too! so touching! *sniff*

Discovering the check in the mail made me cry. Is this a last sign of House, showing he does nothing without thinking it through, especially nothing where Wilson is concerned? A show of caring? STILL caring? Or is it the last piece in the puzzle of depths he owes Wilson? Does he want to call it quits now? They are even and so there's nothing left lying between them?

Fortunately, Wilson does the only right thing.

oh god! Poor Wilson! I feel so sorry for him! I wish he would just forgive House, admit that he needs him and call him already, damnit! :D

Aw, slightly abrupt ending. But fitting. Very good story idea. I saw the episode last night when Wilson made the decision to leave and I've been thinking of what that would've been like...Anyway, hopefully there'll be a sequel if there isn't one already!

Oh mann, chapter four... :( House...is so...perfectly imperfect. I'm reading the rest right now...but just had to say...so sad.

Damn, that part about how House would never hurt Wilson - that was PERFECT. (runs off to read the rest)
