Umm yea, Arthur's loyalty maybe be to Camelot but Merlin's is to Arthur, and really there was no question what he would choose. He destiny is to protect and guide the Once and Future King after all, not to save a kingdom

Very good plot. The dialogue is excellent. The only thing is the style distances the reader from the action. Consider changing to a first person, present tense mode of writing during the action paragraphs.

B'aw! Thank you so much for this! It is probably one of the most in-character, believable, and best Merlin fanfics i've ever read! I could practically picture everything happening in front of my eyes, and pulling off Arthur's arrogance effectively was a feat!

I gotta say, i pay special attention to the endings of stories, and i can't say anything bad at all about yours. I was expecting a run-of-the-mill sex scene, but that beautiful layout of the neck massage and such was just so heart-warming.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for not pulling a "OH MERLIN! I already knew you had magic and i forgive you on the spot even though that is rather out of character of me and i have seen magic as evil the entire show! Let's have sex, m'kay?"
