I don’t know why I keep coming back to this chapter. It’s amazing.

this one gets to me. you move the story and the readers emotions perfectly, it feels balaced and dangeous like a knifeblade lightly scoring skin. little feeling, but intense emotional reaction.

I know you're not writing this any more, or whatever, but i just wanted to comment on some technicalities in this chapter. Sorry if it seems picky. 1) Unless it's for long-term storage, don't keep coffee in the freezer. It actually damages the oils to be in and out of the cold environment. 2) 3 capfuls of vinegar isn't *nearly* enough to descale a coffee maker, and if his was really that bad, it should have been run two or three times. 3)Coffee filters are a lot cheaper than paper towels, especially ones printed with little puppies. 4) Brennan would never use Bustelo at home. It's a tolerable cup, if you like C/S American coffee, but it's *really* cheam, while she's rich and would find it important to pay for the provenence of her beans, to support the families she probably knows in coffee-producing countries. Anyway, that's all.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! I think you just ruined me for any other pieces of fanfiction. That was AMAZING! Excellent job and excellentuse of the english language. Very impressive. Thanks so much for sharing!

I think you captured Cam's voice excellently, and she is a perfect choice of onlooker in this scenario. I am confused, however, on whether the scene was actually a dream or not, because as a dream I think the dialogue was very much what Cam would imagine as an outgrowth of her reading of bodice-rippers. As dialogue between Booth and Bones, though, I feel like it was rather too cliche and a bit OOC, especially from Bones. I definitely enjoyed this story & that was my only critique! Nice job.

Chapter 1 is incredible! The depth and breadth of your insight into the relationship between Booth and Bren is phenomenal. What is it with these two that makes so many of us so obsessive over them?

As you astutely write: "...Cam didn't understand it. But some kind of hold over Seeley she had- ...it became clear to Cam that whatever it was between the two of them, ...it sure wasn't sex"

There it is,right there: it's NOT the sex (or sexual tension) that bonds these two. Though you do the 'smut' thingy as well or actually much better than most, you've drilled deeper and brilliantly developed the real enigma that is Booth and Bones:

"Cam sat back, stunned, barely able to breathe. She had just been witness to as close as she'd ever come to a religious experience. She'd never seen two people so in love-in some ways hadn't even believed such a thing was possible, before now.

Cam just witnessed two people-her firends- having sex with eath other and this is her reaction.

Incredible.

I was wondering if you were going to write any chapters for season 5? I am eager to know because I think that there have been some really great moments so far in the season(even though it's early still) that I believe you could do something great with! I love your story so far and would just love to see you add to it!

You know, I was gonna stay away from your M-rated Magpie's, I really was.

And then I wasn't.

This is a nice "was it real?" story, and very believeable for Cam, *especially* because of the bodice-rippers.

As to whether or not it WAS real, I'm gonna go with WASN'T - at least for this first story, bra and tie nothwithstanding. I suspect it's going to be harder (er, more difficult?) as I get further into this series, but for now, Cam was dreamin'.

WOW. That has to be one of the hottest chapters I've ever read and the fact that they were so in character made it even better. So well-written and so damn hot. Perfect.
