Heartbreaking and beautiful, and somehow you manage to convey the suffering (of both Sam &Dean) with grace. Great ending too.

Wow, that was a large slice of awesome. I waited all season for Sam to realize what he was doing was not just WRONG but was hurting Dean deeply. He just wouldn't open his eyes to it. This is a really nice piece, and offers up an alternative to those of us who don't really want to dislike Sam, but can't help sharing Dean's sense of betrayal and loss of Sammy. Nice work, thank you for sharing.

Brilliant! That fullfilled a need in me that I hadn't realised I had, to hear Sam truly acknowledge what Dean gave up for him, and how his poor choices would have affected his brother. I found myself absolving Sam alongside Dean!
