Very sad and angsty as well as true to the song. It's interesting to see a Rurouni Kenshin fic set in the modern day timeline.

I like that instead of making this an official songfic, you just base the story around the lyrics. That includes several lines from the characters being said lyrics. Along that line, I like that you give the story a title other than the song it is based off of.

This is a pretty emotional story. You definately made this creative as it is the first non Kaoru/Kenshin fic I've ever read. It's obviously pretty difficult for Kenshin to come to terms with the fact that he needs to move on.

The comparison of Tomoe to Kaoru really shows that longing he still has for her. Also, I think you did a great job with the tension between Kenshin and Saitou. The fact that he worries for Kaoru's sake is pretty sweet.
