Reviews for Can You Hear Me Now?
PorcelainTeeth chapter 7 . 12/24/2018
I read most of your ACD stories and some TOS years ago and returned to this for some seasonal cheer. Despite me having become a bit disillusioned with christmas (and maybe the world in general), this hit my scroogey heart in all the right places. Thank you for bringing me this kind of nostalgic holiday fluff. I remember your Holmes and Watson so fondly.

I started cooing and making happy sounds at the end. I also love the idea they have to thoroughly edit their stories in order to make them work. These two are the sweetest best friends ever.

Amazing... i just love this one so much...! Thanks for sharing! This story if continued ( actually all the chapters in this one) will be so...satisfying! *don't know why but i will keep brooding over what happened next*
falconer54 chapter 6 . 11/13/2012
Maybe you could write up Holmes telling them?
katherine chapter 11 . 8/12/2012
hey, are you ever going to write about the story from the last chapter? If not, could you, as a challenge?
katherine chapter 7 . 8/12/2012
hey, I really hope I'm not annoying you with all of my comments, but I love all of your story's so far!
yamina-chan chapter 13 . 3/28/2012
You really are an expert on adding stories in a collection that differ from touching and warm over hillarious and enjoyable to heartbreaking and sad, are you not?

And once again I have also to compliment you on your overall idea and choice of telling for a story. I freely admit that I never thought what kind of influence the invention of telephone would have on these üpeople but it is quite interesting to read about it )

I do fear for the day/story tough in which Holmes WILL say "Goodbye". (Then again I am looking forward to it as well, it is at least promising that it will be good)

Also, reading these stories of yours brings me to look up certin facts every now and then that I have forgotten over the years. Which is a good thing I suppose )
Cassandra147 chapter 13 . 8/4/2011
These stories are simply wonderful. You capture the tone and signature style of their conversations perfectly. They do sound exactly like a couple of very old, very good friends complete with inside jokes and long-standing but goodhearted bickering over trivialities. Watson in particular, I can picture during these conversations. I can see him in his office, late at night and tired, yet, at the ringing of the phone, can see his eyes brighten and him smile as he picks it up to find Holmes on the other end. I do hope the muse inspires you to continue this collection. Thank you very much.

This has been such a pleasure to read! Your presentation of Holmes and Watson and the friendship between them is funny and touching... beautifully done. I first came across your work when I read some of your collaborations with PGF - both of you are very, very talented. Thanks for writing!

Belphegor chapter 13 . 8/30/2010
I must admit with a certain amount of shame that I was going to hit the "Subscribe to Story alert" button and not leave a word, and it's something I don't much like when it happens to me, so apologies :o) Pieces like this story of yours (and I'm sure the rest of your stories) are the main reason I go on the Net looking for fanfiction, because it feels more an extension of Canon (albeit with an added (slight) sentimental touch that's entirely welcome) than anything else. You have both men's voices down pat; the moods, the little quirks and the familiarity of years of practically brotherly friendship are very much there, and it's both heart-warming - always worth a smile and often a laugh - and heart-wrenching (chapter 13 is a good example).

I love these telephone conversations, even (or maybe especially) when the words are trivial but the sentiment behind it is heartfelt and you know they may be talking about one thing but they're communicating something else entirely. I really love Watson's "voice". And the (sort of) running gag of Holmes rarely saying goodbye is both funny and thought-provoking.

Thank you for writing this story, I wish I had more time to say how much I loved it :o]

Very funny and charming, as always! Holmes in a playful mood is always so much fun.
