Thank you so much for this awesome story. I enjoyed it so much. I love dark stories and I firmly believe that not all stories should have happy endings. Happy endings are overrated.

I enjoyed your depiction of recuperation and slowly dawning horror. Loved that the trees began to bleed! Chapter 6 made me cry. As for the Epilogue, I kept thinking of the phrase that they keep each other human!

Oh thank God you spared Dean, I couldn't have handled those feels. This is an interesting AU on canon for Dean's resurrection. I do wish that in the show, Dean hadn't just popped up from the earth a little thirsty but none the worse for wear physically. It would've been cool to see Bobby rehabilitating him and him and Sam wondering if he was tainted demonically still. So I really like this.

I loved your story. I kept on waiting for Sam to appear, and I waited and waited, and he appeared in the middle of the last chapter u.u
But it was still amazing. (Though to tell you the truth, the tension was so high that I read diagonally a couple of chapters).

Just spent an hour hunting this story down, read it forever ago and it still comes to mind...Love it! Keep writing!

That end line works on oh so many levels if you think about how John, and later the boys, used to track YED. Demonic omens, and just plain ominous, and a bit metaphorical. Oh, and the rest of the story was awesome, too. ;)

I started crying in chapter six...excellent. just brilliant.

Why would I have a problem with this story. It's wonderful. Well-written, not predictable, and the boys end up together. Who could ask for more?

There's something about this fic that I can't really explain. It's just beautiful, in this dark, unearthly way that at the same time is painfully human (like Dean ha). I don't cry reading stories but this...this I came very close to. Poor, poor Dean.

I love how everyone is characterized in this, Dean especially with all the effects that Hell had on him that won't ever go away. Bobby actually made me laugh a couple times (in between breaking my heart). I love how he knew a way to bring Dean back but didn't tell Sam and went through with it, even though he knew Dean wouldn't be the same. You know, oddly enough, I liked the sixth chapter the best. Dean deserves to rest finally, after all he's been through and it just felt the right ending to this story (as heartbreaking as it was and I can't even imagine how that would destroy Bobby). And Sam seemed oddly detached in the last chapter...I wonder if that's his way of controlling his new "skillz".

Your writing style is amazing btw, haunting and riveting. Throughout the fic, there was this undercurrent that something was *wrong* and you did an excellent job of conveying that without bashing us over the head with it. When Dean flipped out on Bobby I kinda fell off of my chair a bit. I've always had a thing for demon!Dean and I can't help but wish this had happened instead of canon.

So yeah. Basically, my review can be summed up as: Holy shit, that was mindblowing.
