I don't really read CC x OC pairings, mostly because it's just overly romantic and L would be OOC.

...and this is no exception.

L, indeed, was a bit like Edward Cullen in this fic. And he is NO Edward Cullen.

L is socially awkward, wouldn't be quite romantic (in fact, a bit teasing), and wouldn't really give a damn what Z would recommend.

But this, I have to admit, was well-written and had a good flow and good use of words. ) I just think the only probably you're having is keeping the character's in check.
