This is beautiful. This is definately episode worthy and I wish they had taken a page out of your book and done this scene! I think since they had so much to cover they had to leave things out, but I'm so glad you filled in this blank. C:

I really love Rodney's and Radek's relationship. They bug the heck out of each other but at the end of the day, they are best friends.

I know you wrote this years ago but if you're still writing, I would love nothing more than for you to possibly novelize the episode. It wouldn't need to be extremely long, just fill in all the gaps. Like when they first realized what was happening to him and the missing "days" recordings. That would be phenomenal.

Anyway, I loved reading this; it is a great piece of work and you should be very proud of yourself. XD

A sweet but heartbreaking moment. I cry every time I even think about this episode, even knowing how it ends, and this just opened the tear-gates. That's a good thing by the way, not many stories touch me so deeply.

This was so beautifully written! I literally cried by the end of it. I, too, wondered why Zelenka never said goodbye in the episode and time contraints sounds like the only excuse that makes sense. I'm sure the scene would have gone something like this.

Definitely something that was missing on-screen. After all, given the depth of what Rodney said in "Tao" there definitely would have been some kind of conversation between them two years of friendship on. Also odd that Rodney never said goodbye on video!

I can't believe that Radek would just let him leave for the last time and say nothing! Especially as last time Rodney said goodbye, he was left speechless.

This is understated yet very emotional and with a good point about how this is particularly cruel and unexpected.

Oh this was really nice. I agree with you I think they cut something from the show- Radek would certainly have wanted a moment to say goodbye, and would have wanted to reassure Rodney that he would take care of Atlantis for him, and this is a very moving take on that. Thanks for sharing it. Very well done.
