This is awesome. Are those poem parts something you wrote or part of a song?

how. im asking you how. how can you make me fall in love with zuko all over again. how did you manage to make me love him so much im overflowing with emotions. with pride. and joy. hes a fictional character but oh my god zukos development, how far he had come from all his mistakes and how hes been lost...oh my god this was beautiful so damn beautiful. i feel like hes my son. this is probably my fav chapter yet. (and i ship mai/shen li now is that ok)

this chapter made me love shen li holy shit (and why must you make the future sound so ominous like i just want to put the gaang on a very soft carpet and hug them all at once and never let go) so far your writing is realllyyy good and the plot has been really intriguing (the assassination make sense and the riots as much as it pains me zukooooooo and that mystery guy that recruited the dai li...ive always wondered what the hell happened to them at the end)

This is lovely, if heartachy, so far. I particularly like how you've written Zuko and just the passing mention of his hurt when Aang assumes he killed Azula.

The parts with Aang and Guru Pathik felt like I was watching an episode!

You write beautifully, your descriptions and detail, I can see it all so clearly. I also love this blossoming, tentative friendship between Katara and Mai. And everytime Aang and Toph are in the same scene I hold my breath.

This story is simply amazing for all the character development and lack of bashing and world building. And the plot! The plot is awesome! I'm going to go read the sequel now, thanks, buh-bye!

I know you've written a bunch after this post BUT I just wanted to comment on your lack of confidence. Don't doubt yourself. This story is the best I've read on this site. You are truly an amazing writer. I look forward to reading much more of your work!

I've really enjoyed reading this story and I'm very glad that it is only the first. I've been reading for hours and I'm about to transition to the next arc and probably read for a few more. I'm confident this series won't be good for my sleep habits. There were parts that were written so tenderly and parts that were written with great humor. You are an extremely talented writer and I'm glad you've shared your works with the wider world.

Wow... this is insane. Realistic - I love how much detail and emotion you've crafted into trying to rebuild a world that's hated for so long - and I could just cry for Zuko and Aang. I feel bad for the others too (maybe not Katara, she seems to have gotten of lightly so far, though I doubt that will be the case for long) but those two boys literally have the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Brilliant. I can't express this story in any other way except with that one word. Wonderful writing, a wonderful plot. I'm off to read the second story. Awesome job. :D
