This one wanted to make me slam my head off the desk. In a good way, of course.

It takes most writers pages upon pages of character development and pointless spew to make a death have impact (guilty!), but you've acheived so much with so little.

Well, I can't say this fic is mediocre, because it's anything but that, but I really have to be honest in my reviewing. That said, let's start with the positives: Yuffie's characterization in the beginning was excellent. You used just a few paragraphs to describe her sitation, and though not all plot holes were filled (ex..was that Vincent's child in her womb?), that only contributed to the air of "mysteriousness" and "tragedy" about her. Good! I did feel a slight sense of sympathy for Yuffie (although her suicide, to be honest, didn't really resound with me too much). However...as for Vincent's sudden death at the end, I was just...befuddled. He kills himself? Huh? There's were certain implications that Yuffie loved Vincent and vice versa, but out of the blue, he goes and kills himself? While I understand what "true love" does to you and all, personally I couldn't see Vincent committing suicide for his (potentially) unborn child or his "secret lover". Take Lucrecia, for example...rather than suicide he chose to lock himself up in a coffin for 30 years. Maybe he and Yuffie have a connection an' all...but to be frank I really can't see that happening.

Otherwise, I did enjoy this. Like the writing style, hope to see some more fics from you in the future!

Wow. Really, um, fascinating. Words can't describe it... if I say I enjoyed it, will you hold it against me? I personally am not a fan of UBER-DARK-DEATH-ANGST-SUICIDEZORZ fics, but I can always make an exception.
