| SewerSurfin chapter 2 . 10/7/2008 I like your take on that...how Aang was "selfish" about letting go of Katara, but never really had to in the end. Very insightful, and explains it all perfectly! If you think about it, Avatars can have "earthly attachments". Roku had a wife and children, Kuruk fell in love and almost got married...it's just about them realizing that they have a duty to the world as well. |

| Avaleia chapter 2 . 7/30/2008 I loved how you did it in both Aang and Katara's perspectives. I mean, I thought the finale was the most epic and mindblowing thing I've ever experienced from the show, but that last scene... wow. That's not easy to explain in words, but you actually did it! And you did it extremely well. One thing I'd like to commend you for is the fact that you addressed the unlocking of the last chakra. For some reason, when Aang's Avatar State was triggered- when he hit his back on that rock- I felt as if there weren't enough closure, or that it could've been explained better. But you explained it very well, in a way that makes everything seem plausible. I never thought of Avatar Yangchen's words in that way- that Aang's duty was to the world, and also to Katara. And that makes everything fall into place. Great work, and I'm happy to see that you're still writing for Avatar! |
