I also kept giggling over his curiosity at how the storylines were playing out. I've only ever followed one soap opera, thanks to my mom ("All My Children"), but my god, you've still nailed this anyway-for those of us who do watch them, it's VERY easy to get addicted and start talking about the show exactly the way Reid did. I have this image of him sitting there and profiling all the characters now or something :p.

And I LOVE that he could deduce who their suspect was based off that random assortment of descriptions that Marcurelli was giving (also, yeah, she sounds rather eccentric, but she still seems like a really sweet older lady. I like her :)). Felt bad that he couldn't join her in watching the show.

That bit from "P911" always interested me, too, I kind of wish they'd had a chance to expand more on that discussion. I'd love to know what soaps Reid actually DID watch. Very cute, very funny piece-don't know if you still pop in here or if you'll read this or whatnot, but regardless, just wanted to drop a note and say how much I liked this.
