Poor Josef! This was so heartbreaking to read! An ironic plot twist would be that Sarah finally woke from her coma and became a vampire. I hope that doesn't sound horrible to say, and I would never put Josef through that pain. The greatest part about this one-shot is that Mick was, and is, there for Josef and Mick will always be there for his brother. I'd hate to think how Mick would react if Josef was actually successful. I suppose it's a good thing Mick knows his best friend.

On a different note, you handle the content of this story very well. Stories like this can go one of two ways, if an author is not careful: Either they don't show sufficient and realistic emotions or the emotions are overdone, dramatic, and unrealistic. So, I congratulate you on writing a very realistic story about a man losing his beloved.

That was amazing... truly loved this moment both the depth of Josef's grief and the bond of friendship with Mick that pulled him back from the brink.

Amazing story. You really captured both Josef and Mick, and their brotherly bond, perfectly. As much as I loved the episode where Sarah's existence was revealed I would have enjoyed seeing something like this even more. It was definitely a missed opportunity but you did a great job rectifying that :)

Wow, this is absolutely amazing. I felt so much for Josef here. The characterization (Josef and Mick) is spot on.

That was very powerful and so sad. Imagine what eternity must feel like when you see yourself facing it alone. My heart broke for Josef. I'm glad Mick came and I'm glad he had the right words. You need to let these stories out when you get the urge, it's the right thing to do. Good job.
