imnotjkr chapter 1 . 4/15/2010 God, this fic, like your others, is brilliant. It's absolutely heartbreaking, and yet you feel like there is hope there too. I love the way you show Neville's way of looking at the world and his judgements about the others, like Dumbledore, because,as an almost outsider, he could see those things. Just wonderful. You've given me my faith back in the Harry Potter fandom. |
mrscribble chapter 1 . 4/5/2010 you have such a talent for characterization - this fic is so sweet and Neville is so perfect. Fantastic. |
Her Fantasy chapter 1 . 10/8/2009 Beautiful, and I love the sense of hope at the end. This is a great rendering of how Neville might be after the war - I like how it shows that despite what people may say, the end of the war doesn't mean everything is suddenly perfect. There are still all sorts of terrible things in the world that need to be sorted out, and everyone must hold onto the hope that things might get better. Neville really knows his plants, and that was demonstrated in this tale - the way he compares people to plants (his choices fit perfectly), the way he knows just what to do to help them, and even his knowledge of the symbolism of flowers and such. I also think you did a nice job with his parents, capturing their state of mind well. Magnificent job! |
sophia666 chapter 1 . 5/5/2009 I loved this. Neville with his parents, talking to them while tending to St. Mungos's gardens. and he was spot on with his putting plants to names, like with Dumbledore and Voldemort. and I love the title, too. great writing. |
