Gary the Snail 00 chapter 5 . 9/13 Wow this was hauntingly beautiful, and so, so sad. Poor Harry! The signs were all there, but everyone ignored them. You are very talented. I love this style of writing as well, I think it was very creative how you went between a series of essays. I know you posted this years ago, but you said in your author's note to still review, so I did. :) |
gginsc chapter 5 . 11/21/2019 I feel nothing for this clueless person. |
EmeraldWolf141 chapter 5 . 10/4/2019 I spent half my time reading this shouting NOOOOOOO Harry I'm sorry. This was so good |
Guest chapter 3 . 6/28/2019 Although very moving but this makes no sense as the teacher, while ignoring stuff, cannot believe dudley's version if she is in regular, physical contact with both kids. If this is a long distance learning school, then fne, but in a regular school, no. No one is that dumb. Uncaring, yes. Dumb, no. |
wednesday dracula 13 chapter 2 . 1/3/2019 I don't know how to feel about this teacher. They're dismissive about what Harry writes/says/replies as being lies or fantasy but is concerned about his injuries. Is this a good or bad character? Do they actually care but are just oblivious? Do they actually believe the Dursleys? |
Poppyville chapter 5 . 9/5/2018 This is amazing. it shows what the clues would be like almost if a child was getting abused. Though I would like to read a prequel about Samantha and what happened to her. Maybe she was abused and some how knew Lily and she was her escape? Any way you are an amazing writer never stop writing cheers mate |
Theangelhasthephonebox chapter 5 . 8/7/2018 Every time I read this I find myself almost in tears. Honestly this piece is one of the few to even view Harry's time with muggles and the signs that they missed. Love this very much. It could even become it is own prequel to a story. |
missgsmith51 chapter 5 . 6/30/2018 I made it a point always to read my students' journals, because I never knew what might show up. Over the years, several kids wrote things that were terrifying. I always took them seriously and showed them to the school psychologist or the principal. There were times when various authorities were called in as a result. I'm not the only teacher I know who acted, either. When students find out that the teachers really do read and care about what they say, some seize the opportunity to cry for help. The thing is, teachers are mandated reporters and can get into a lot of trouble for not reporting suspected abuse. This teacher definitely should have talked to CPS, because there was a common theme in all of the work. Even if she had honestly believed Harry was lying, that in itself would have indicated a problem that needed to be addressed by a psychologist or psychiatrist. Poor Harry! Some people just don't want to see. |
I'm.Only.Here.To.ReadReview chapter 5 . 6/10/2018 I enjoyed this immensely despite how sad it was, and it really does bring the topic of abuse, being attentive and following things up to light. I also guessed correctly that the teacher was female, although that may just be because most of my teachers throughout my schooling years were female and they wrote in a similar way to how you depicted Miss Simms. Great story, and I will be checking out your other works as well. |
CharlotteN chapter 5 . 6/6/2018 This story is beautifully written. |
The Deathly Erised chapter 3 . 5/31/2018 Chapter 3, Math question 3 is wrong. It would have been five crates, yet the teacher says he got them all right. |
Georgia chapter 5 . 12/7/2017 I really enjoyed this book could you do something like if Harry's primary classmates sees his hogwarts report cards |
Leona chapter 5 . 8/17/2017 I knew it was a she. Overall, I think it's a good idea, to point out that although HP is fiction for kids, there are so many children out there that suffer just as much as Harry did... and they don't have any magical friends to help them. |
UnknownWriter63 chapter 5 . 8/11/2017 This was amazing! Though it would've been nice if she were to take care of him from now on and tell him she was sorry but I like it this way. Great job! |
Sly Heiress chapter 1 . 8/3/2017 Really...such an oblivious teacher! And She/He/ Whatever call themselves a Teacher! Gods. Normally, we would've asked ourselves what was going on by the fourth essay in a row or so. But a YEAR reading and reviewing essays with tells of mistreatment cannot go overlooked. Whomever the teacher is, obviously they didnt take pedagogy classes to become a teacher. |
