I loved this. I loved this even more after I read "Coming To Terms". With that in mind, nothing seemed off character to me at all. Everything made sense and just flowed. I loved the dialoge and how Jarlaxle tried to keep the conversation going. Jarlaxle and Artemis are absolutley amazing. No matter how much they guard thier emotions and thoughts from each other, they still manage to communicate with each other so honestly when it's important. Poor Jarlaxle though. He sure had a tough time covering his emotions as he struggled with the newness of it all - human and drow cultural differences, Artemis' interest and tenderness, his own feelings of embarrassment, and his own possesiveness and tenderness toward this attractive human assassin he has somehow fallen for... everything. *sigh* :)

I especially liked the ending thoughts - Jarlaxle with his racing thoughts and scheming plans to take Artemis away with him, and Artemis' quiet relaxed attitude, just enjoying the moment. :)

Ok, I know it's totally fangirl stuff, but awwww you mentioned Zak~ 3 (yes, just mentioning him stories makes me smile)

As the title suggests, a rare moment of honesty between the two secretive rogues. Although I don't usually go for AU scenarios, this scene was crafted carefully which made it believeable. Kudos to that! I do agree, however, that Entreri was rather OOC in being too submissive. Although I do miss the banter, you somehow managed to make this fluffy even without. Really cool moments of insight for both characters e.g."Artemis, above all else, valued honesty" also bring out their interaction. Probably the one barrier readers have to get over is that the two would choose to be intimate so early on in their acquaintance without being under the influence of drugs, alcohol or magic XP, but perhaps 'dressing up' all day as a tubby little halfling does things to people ;)

It's good, but Artemis seems a bit OOC to me. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think he'd be quite that shy. And attracted to Jarlaxle or not, he would STILL be wary of sleeping with him, if only because of the unprofesionalism of it.

Okay for the fluffly stuff, this is cute but this is not OOC, which is a rare quality in fluffy fanfictions! I just loved it, of course, especially the way you portray them both after love-making, their wishes, their dreams, their feelings.

Yet, I would like to ask you something, Chi, this is strange to see Artemis asking for... well, you know what I mean. He's so sensible on the sex subject, at least, that is how he's portrayed in most fanfictions. That Jarlaxle could almost beg for attention is not at all surprising, but seeing our dear and more than sexy assassin answering his request is somehow astonishing. But cool. Yeah, definitely hot. More! More!

I really liked this. Jarlaxle was quite charming and kind of cute and Entreri was believably himself. Though R.A. Salvatore would probably have a heart attack. Are you going to write more about this? Maybe during or after Servant of the Shard?
