| GlassSplinter chapter 1 . 3/21/2010 I like this crossover. I think that, for the size of this story, you fitted in a good amount of interaction between the two fandoms. I don't think that the anonymous reviewer Takk understands crossovers at all. This sort of thing needs no back story, it's a one scene play, so to speak, and your readership will know both these fandoms, otherwise they wouldn't be reading fanfiction about a story they know nothing about. Takk wasn't being picky, just unappreciative. That review is good if you were attempting to write a serious story, with all the elements of a story. This is more of a comedy sketch, and should be judged on it's own merits. That said, I think this is pretty good, but could be better. Maybe make it a little longer, or add in some more interaction with Jack/Howl. Maybe continue with the Calcifer storyline. (He is a fallen star, after all.) And, Owen is still a frog. Poor Owen. |
