SortingHat chapter 1 . 2/16/2016 Harry would need to learn that a computer while it may have intelligence it does not posses any and it's up to the user to provide the right commands. Computers are basically ones and zeros doing different things and for a long time were just main frames with *slave* terminals that had little to know memory kind of like today's direction with *the cloud* where a lot of computers now have little to no memory storage. A lot of stores now only have the dogs for sale. A friend of mine got a good laptop only after knowing good specs because me and Dad helped him or he would've gotten a crappy one at Wal Mart or Best Buy which barely have enough memory to have memory and charge the same price. For 300 dollars on Amazone you can find many with at least 2TB of storage which does the job quite well where at Best Buy and Wal Mart you only get 2-4GB barely enough to run anything. Great for notebooks and calculator stuff but for serious usage? No go!0 Most laptops advertise have only 2 to 4 GB of memory which barely turns on most Windows OS. Windows 10 requires 4GB of ram JUST to operate at minimum functions and unlike Win XP or even 8.1 it is ass ugly with no customization whatsoever and REALLY tiny fonts. Windows 8.1 was actually a fix to both Windows 8 and 7 combined and should've been left alone as it added a lot of user choices and you can get rid of/move and edit the things on the metro screen. Windows 8 vanilla edition has NO customization either and while you can add the start menu back it's tricky and you can't do anything with the metro screen making a lot of users divided between new people who don't care and older users who DO care. |

schaferdramaqueen chapter 1 . 3/2/2009 Ha! I liked the bit about the blue screen of death...I KNEW Voldy was behind them! |
The Wolf Maiden chapter 1 . 7/24/2008 Brillant. Bloody freakin' brillant. You are utterly hilarious. I know the best reviews are ones where people tell you what they like and then tell you what was flawed or could be improved but I honestly can't find a single I don't like about your story excluding the legnth. If it were longer, I'd be able to enjoy myself even more. I believe my favorite parts were; Harry nearly wishing he'd married Hermione because of Ginny's mediocre cooking "Moron's" introduction Mr. Weasly referring to a computer as a pootcomper The Beach Ball Heck, pretty much the whole dang story. It's always fun to find something to read that you weren't looking for. I was going through the flames on My Immortal when I found your review. It was so amusing, I found it criminal not to click the link to your profile. You know, if I weren't so lazy I would review your review. But since I am lazy, I ... |
Unlaced Opheliac chapter 1 . 7/22/2008 Oh this made me laugh. Really liked it very much. Espically the last sentence. x |
I.Am.A.Nerfherder chapter 1 . 7/17/2008 I liked it. Actually, I liked it except for Rita. I don't like Rita. Never have. Never will. She was actually quite attractive as a beetle. Is this chocolate chip cookie... made by Dr. Martinez? |
Autumn Skys chapter 1 . 7/9/2008 Well, that was random, lol. Laptops are quite crappy, though. Desktops are, too, but at least my desktop hasn't gone all opposite-color on me like my laptop has. (Really. Not kidding.) Anyways. The story was funny :) |
Bartimus Crotchety chapter 1 . 6/23/2008 To a person long acquainted with laptops. (Typing on one now) this was a horror story! Still shaking! Well written and clever...thanks for sharing! Bart |
Red Panda Bear chapter 1 . 6/5/2008 OK here you go "I liked it" Now where's my cookie? |
Jugendiaer-Hack chapter 1 . 6/4/2008 Darn it all, I should've gone to your bio earlier... Flat button Lolx Wonderful piece of work, mate...considering how many mediocre, bad, terrible, pleasant and enjoyable ones I've read this one takes the cake very nicely :D Keep it up! ~Casca though you pro'lly know it by now |
JJ Rust chapter 1 . 5/26/2008 Pretty entertaining. I especially like the bit about Ginny's cooking going to heck without magic. Clever haiku, too. |
rAbiDmutt03 chapter 1 . 5/23/2008 you write incredibly well! honestly, the top ten list didn't show your writing skills much (for obvious reasons, i believe, and even though the murtagh one was very funny). so how about writing a story for eragon instead of a list.. *winks how about it? ;) (personally i like the eragon fics where eragon and murtagh get along well as brothers...coughcough) :P |
Ember Nickel chapter 1 . 5/17/2008 Hahaha. The haiku was pretty much awesome. |
