You know? As much as I love myself a good slash scene this was better still. Oddly I almost feel proud of Qui-gon for refusing Obi-wan. Amazing piece of writing - but so are all of your other pieces haha

that was unusual but very well played. I'm not too sure who i was rooting for there and i'm not sure i want to know either!

Two ideas I'd be interested to see written as companion fics to this: You made it sound like Obi-Wan was jealous of Anakin, and said he spoke harshly to him. I'd like to read about the scene. Second, a retelling of Qui-Gon's final moments, in which the two are reconciled, would be interesting.

It's interesting to read a slash where the characters try to hold back instead of going at it hammer and tongs. All your psycology, and the idea of the Naboo trying to be 'too pure', is very good. I just have one criticism. You use the characters' names too much, eg. 'Qui-Gon only hoped Obi-Wan would eventually forgive him. Whether he needed forgiveness for his previous indiscretion or for having rejected Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon did not know.' The last Qui-Gon could be he instead. Using the names to much spoils the flow of the writing, for me at any rate.

Really great fic! I loved the atmosphere, and it was very well-written, sober and all like we'd expect out of them. Loved the whole idea about Jedi Masters and their Padawans...

Poor Qui-Gon, to have a conflict like that swimming around in his head. I can understand why he refused to have a relationship with his Padawan, but all the same it still created a rift between the two of them. It really was a lose-lose situation for Qui-Gon.
