Am I the only one who feels that Casey and Derek are extremely immature in this fanfic? Like, there's barely been any progress in their relationship and its not very realistic that 2 adults are acting like this when they've already kissed anyway

Beautifully realistic. Thought you were going to going to end it on a realistic note, but then there were two more scenes and you gave us a happy ending. Can't thank you enough for it, make me grin. And honestly, I've laughed aloud quite a few times reading this as well. Really, just masterful job.

Ahh I love this well written and pretty in character like how often am I going to find this? And you actually got me to care about and genuinely like the other side characters. By the way you definitely handled Mr Tremblays death right like it didn't feel inconsequential it clearly mattered and had an impact. I loved how Casey fixed Derek and then he fixed her those were probably my favorite parts and it just felt so completely right to me. Overall just really great.

A really good Life With Derek story makes me laugh. This one was amazing. I was sad, I was happy, I was impatient. It was wonderful. Thank you.

...I realize that that was probably an inappropriate/ingracious response to that emotional shitstorm of a chapter, but it was either a boisterous Mean Girls reference, or me berating you on the fact that you just made me cry. OVER AN OC.

Like, you've made me cry a bunch of times before (that horrible, awful, cheese-grater-over-my-tender-underbelly section of "Different For Girls" comes to mind) but you just made me cry over an OC. I DON'T CRY OVER OCS. EVER. AND I'M CRYING.

So I'm just gonna go ahead and smash the 'IGNORE!' button for most of that chapter, and focus on Derek, being so heartbreakingly, stomachachingly, perfect. He painted her walls. He's reading books. HE'S HOLDING HER AS SHE CRIES. (These are the only things making up for that horrible, pain filled monstrosity of a chapter.)

And just as an aside, please understand that I love your fics. All of them. You're the awesomest ever. So even when I'm ranting at you, know that I love you. Unabashedly.
